10 Home Cleaning Hacks to Make Your Life Easier

Cleaning your home can often feel like an overwhelming task. With the right hacks, however, it doesn’t have to be so difficult. From window cleaning to tile scrubbing, read on for 10 useful tricks that will make your home look spotless in no time!

Vinegar & Baking Soda

This dynamic duo is a great way to cut through soap scum and grime in the bathroom or kitchen. Simply mix together equal parts baking soda and white vinegar, apply the paste with a sponge or cloth, wait five minutes, then scrub and rinse away.

Rubbing Alcohol

For stainless steel surfaces, rub them down with rubbing alcohol for a streak-free shine without any harsh chemicals.

Window Cleaner Hack

Windows are notoriously hard to clean without leaving streaks behind – but don’t worry, because we have some window cleaning tips for that! All you need is some newspaper and vinegar diluted in water – just spritz the solution onto the windows and wipe clean with crumpled up pieces of newspaper; your windows will sparkle like new afterwards!

Lemon & Salt

Are your cutting boards looking dull? If so, sprinkle them with salt and then cut a lemon in half before using it as a scrubber to remove stains and discolouration. A few minutes of work should do the trick!

WD-40

This multipurpose oil can be used to remove rust spots from almost any surface. Just spray it on the rusted area and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping clean with a damp cloth or rag.

Dishwasher Detergent

Aside from cleaning dishes, dishwasher detergent is also great for removing dirt from fabric furniture upholstery – just dissolve one tablespoon of detergent into two cups of warm water, grab an old toothbrush and start scrubbing!

Toothpaste

If you have water rings on wood furniture from wet glasses or mugs, you can use plain white toothpaste as an effective cleaner – simply rub some onto the affected area until the watermark has disappeared.

Coffee Filters

An easy way to get rid of dust build-up around fans or vents is by using coffee filters — just run them along whatever surface needs dusting and watch as all that pesky dust gets absorbed away.

Baking Soda & Water

If your carpet has tough stains that won’t come off no matter how many times you vacuum them out, try sprinkling baking soda over them first before vacuuming again – this helps break down stubborn dirt particles more easily so they can be removed in one go.

Microfiber Cloths

Finally, if you want to give your floors an extra shine without having to use any harsh chemicals, microfiber cloths are here to save the day – simply grab one (or several!) and sweep away dirt particles without leaving behind any lint or residue behind afterwards.

Cleaning doesn’t have to be such a chore when you have these helpful hacks at hand

Whether you need help getting rid of tough stains or sparkling windows without streaks left behind, these tips should help make things much easier for you when it comes time for some serious deep cleaning around the house – happy cleaning!
