Is there anything I should not do after BOTOX®?

Is there anything I should not do after BOTOX®?

Taking Botox in Calgary is one way to improve your look and get rid of wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of ageing. As good as Botox is, there are some things you should not do after receiving the procedure. If you just underwent Botox in Calgary, here are some of the things you should avoid.

  1. Postpone Working Out

Abstain from working out after you just had Botox in Calgary to allow the product to settle properly into your body. It will help to wait for 5 days before you resume working out. The reason is that exercise increases blood flow and this can cause the toxin to spread to other areas, which can reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.

  1. Do Not Drink Alcohol

Do not drink alcohol at least 24 hours before going for Botox in Calgary and a few days after. Alcohol can increase the risk of bruising.

  1. Avoid Blood Thinners

Do not take my medicine or drinks classified as blood thinners such as aspirin and lots more.

  1. Do Not Touch the Injection Area

Resist the urge to touch or massage the part of your face where you received Botox in Calgary. Let your skin recover naturally.

  1. Do Not Lay On Your Face

You will be instructed to sit after receiving the treatment. But when you get home, avoid lying down on your face at least four hours after the procedure.

  1. Avoid Excessive Heat and Sun Exposure

It will help your recovery to avoid exposing yourself to excessive heat or sunbathing until the swelling and redness from the procedure have disappeared completely. Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and hot baths.

  1. Avoid Skin Treatments

Until your skin has fully recovered from Botox in Calgary, do not undergo Skin treatments such as dermal fillers, facials, facial massages, and exfoliating scrubs. The treatments may reduce the procedure’s effectiveness and cause further discomfort.

  1. Do Not Makeup

Go without make-up for at least 24 hours after the procedure. Applying make-up will cause you to rub the skin, which way disperse the toxin of Botox in Calgary.

The above are some of the things you should not do after taking Botox in Calgary. You want the best results for your money and efforts. Consequently, endure the instructions for a few days after receiving the procedure for the best results.

Remember to ask your doctor for other instructions that can enhance the procedure’s results. And remember to relax throughout the day after receiving Botox.
